Timeless vs Temporary

Cities in Black & White – The April Gallery Competition

A city is not gauged by its length and width, but by the broadness of its vision and the height of its dreams. – Herb Caen

There is romance to the city. They contain stories and they contain tensions: they seem both timeless yet they are, fundamentally, temporary.

With the launch of our Generation 2.0 B&W film, we want you to capture the city using the timeless format of black and white instant film.

Through cityscapes and urban landscapes, to interiors and exteriors, ruins, rebuilds, structures and architectural shots, we're excited to see what you create.

Enter as many photos as you like. They must be shot on Impossible’s black and white instant film – we don't mind which film you use, but Generation 2.0 film offers faster, better results. You can upload them to the gallery from your computer or your mobile device using the Impossible Project App for iOS and Android.

The competition closes at midnight (CET) on April 30, 2015. If your photo is judged as one of the three best by Impossible, you will win a voucher worth 50 EUR / 50 USD / 50 GBP.
